More of Mr. Pennyfeather the mild-mannered little professor who dabbles in detection. One of his students disappears, is later murdered, and her cousin enlists Mr. Pennyfeather's aid. Suspect are a strange, artist uncle, two hated men from her past, an elderly lady, and another man, soon a corpse. Mr. P. interferes with the police in his sleuthing, nabs the killer and stays alive. Nice and light.
