THE MAGIC PAINTBOX

Given the companionship of her cat Clara, the garage wall and a palette of paints, Dorothee sets about creating all the animals she could never own. What a shock when the whole menagerie comes to life only to complain about the freakish colors and peculiar handicaps inflicted on them by Dorothee's beautiful but impractical artistry. A rainstorm saves Dorothee from mob violence as all the animals dissolve in a rainbow of magic paints. Alain Trez' whimsical drawings in vivid color need no introduction. For the matter neither does Denise Trez' talent for evoking the kind of humor her readers can fully appreciate.
