Littledale of the distinguished French Dominican theologian's La Pentecote Chartres and of his Esquisses du Mystere de l'Eglise, this volume contains profound meditations on and a scholarly theological study of the nature of the Church. The relevance of such a work as this in connection with ecumenical movements is apparent. The well earned prestige of the author's name alone will be sufficient to recommend this volume to educated Catholics and to serious non-Catholic students of Catholicism.
