A sixth easy reader about the rabbit who, with her animal friends, experiences everyday situations similar to those met by her young readers. In one story, Hattie has that familiar problem: how do you get to sleep in summer when the sun's still out? Her mother's solution, to paint a night sky on her window shade, works like a charm. In the other stow, Hattie and her friend Rosie, a pig, bet on who can make Rosie's mother say ""yes"" first; after several failures, Hattie succeeds by asking permission to brush her teeth. Although the stories are short on originality and wit, the illustrations are warm and entertaining, advancing the plot nicely. This is not an outstanding series, but a useful staple for easy reading collections.
