COCO

For those in a dog daze, this brief biography of the poodle, Coco, by one who once held firm, unfriendly views of man's best friend. Devoted to her cat, Periander, the author gave in to her husband's desire for another pet, found herself being chosen by the runt of the litter and was entranced at the ""eager hearthrug"" that came into their lives. How Coco was trained, what a gentlemen he proved to be, the sartorial changes that followed his clippings, his fame on radio and TV and their sky high ambitions for him, are all part of a pleasant memoir. The fact that he was not a perfect poodle, that he was not manly and that their ambitions took a hard fall wind up the story for the time being. Restrained but nevertheless canine capers for the following.
