THE SILVER HORN OF ROBIN HOOD

From Donald E. Cooke have previously come two mystery adventures Johnny on the Spot and The Narrow Ledge of Fear). a historical about the American Revolution (Valley of Rebellion) and now a rewriting of the Robin Hodd story. If one had not read the traditional versions this would do just as well. It is a complete, well paced book, recounting the events in Robin Hood's life from the time he was 18 and lost his father and won a shooting match- to his death fighting for King Richard. The tale is told with a marked flair for personalities and fascination for the whole spirit of the Sherwood band. None of the familiar and well loved details seem left out and anyone with the slightest interest in the legend should be entirely satisfied with this for it has a wide age latitude.
