by Dorothy Aldis ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
In the tradition of the Junior Miss stories -- of Babs, Sub Deb, of Maudie and her ilk, this is a story of Susan and her family, her brother and twin sisters, her pangs of embarrassment, growing social awareness, her mishaps, sorrows, fears and joys. There is a background of her parents' mutual understanding, the almost fatal sickness of a schoolmate's mother, the twins' stealing a teacher's watch, her brother's making her dinner party a success, boy trouble -- all pleasant, likable, family sort of reading. Same market as Henson and Lorimer, but not quite up to that level.
