British backdrop for the story of three fliers, -- George, a Pole, Paul, a Frenchman, and Gothin, American, who temporarily invalided out of active service, take a small house together in an English hamlet where Gothin can be near the girl he loves, Jane, a nurse. Paul, moody, talented, evasive, troublemake a first be quarrels with George, than moves in on Gothin's girl. Jane, infatuated with Paul against her will, is set to Marry Paul when Gothin uncovers Paul's Axis affliiations. Eventually it is Jane and Gothin again. Oversimplified to sweet story.
