In Hillside, a small factory town of first generation Italians, Georgie Rocco, a punk, commits a robbery and an accidental murder, then leads some teenage vigilante activities, a gambling raid and an attempt to smoke out an abortionist. Nylon stockings and some missing tape- used on the murder instrument-key county detective Bassett's patient investigation. Some sobering insights on the social strictures and parental failures which breed juke box delinquency give this its graphic realism. Good.
