by Dr. Irwin & Samm Sinclair Baker Stillman ‧ RELEASE DATE: July 16, 1969
Dr. Stillman's first foray into flab reduction (The Doctor's Quick Weight-Loss Diet--1967) appearing also in paperback, proved to be immensely popular. The all-protein and copious liquid regimen was easy to remember and usually brought spectacular results; also possibly raw nerves and a headache. Now for those who are at sea after a week or two (the all-protein diet is a crash measure) Dr. Stillman presents a number of diets for spot-paring and medical problems. This time the Quick Inches-Off Diet may be used dosey-do with the Quick Weight-Loss or for a slower route. The diet is a vegetarian venture (low protein) and Dr. Stillman's explanation of just why the body doesn't need much protein is a bewildering turnabout for those hipped, or de-hipped, on lean beef. . . . A big book for fat people--with Q & A, pep talks, recipes and tables. In spite of Dr. Stillman's affection for carbonated diet drinks (bound to take inches off the mind).
