by E. W. Hildick ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 1, 1976
Shadow Squad"" practice lands the McGurk Agency in the middle of a genuine mystery when Simon, the paper boy the four junior detectives have been ineptly trailing, really does disappear. And though the police lieutenant rudely rejects the kids' efforts to help on the case, McGurk and company show him a thing or two by both finding Simon and clearing up the misunderstanding that sent him into hiding. Like other McGurks it's low grade Hildick, but at least there's more to look for than the missing baseball glove and doll that the detectives have had to settle for previously.
