TEN PLUS ONE: In 87th Precinct Novel

The 87th Precinct and its personnel is becoming as familiar as 221-B Baker St. A major difference is that the first is not as genteel nor omniscient as the latter. The sprawling city McBain has created is struck by a sniper this time and only after the corpses have piled up does it become clear that the victims were once all in the same school play. Predictable police detail leads to a surprisingly delicate handling of a solution which involves the orgiastic cast party that had followed the play twenty years before.
