EXCITEMENT IN APPLEBY STREET

A bit of nonsense introduces some heavy examples of road-breaking machines in this story of a boy who lost his tooth. Joey happened to be leaning over an open man-hole when his precious loose tooth, on which he expected to make a wish for a baby sister, fell out. And then such things happened -- the fire trucks came -- a truck with men with picks and shovels, a road-breaker, a bulldozer, a Diesel ditch-digger, an oil-burning shovel all came. Joey doesn't find his tooth, but he does find a baby sister at home all the same.
