by Edith J. Agnew ‧ RELEASE DATE: Oct. 17, 1960
The story of the event of Pentecost is one of the most difficult for young people to compass. One could wish this attempt to bring it down to simple terms for small children had something of the divine fire that helped launch Jesus' apostles on their role of carrying his message to their known world. Possibly the somewhat bland and matter-of-fact telling and the direct but uninspired pictures by Johannes Troyer will achieve Miss Agnew's goal, but only if placed in the hands of a parent or a teacher who has the inspirational quality the book lacks.
