MADAGASCAR JACK

Author of Smuggler's Luck knows his boats and spins a lively adventure story. This deals with life on a whaler, with a boy who was virtually (though not unwillingly) shanghaied on board, and with adventures which were more than he bargained for when mutiny broke out. It turns into a treasure hunt in the South Seas. The whaling aspects are soundly based on material from old logs, for Stackpole is a Nantucketer.
