Two out of four words in the title have an inviolable appeal but beyond that it's hard to say very much for this activated rather than motivated story. Brian Crandall moves to Santa Fe to live and shortly thereafter his dog is poisoned. The sheriff gives him Frisky, seemingly a fox terrier who had belonged to an old recluse, and then Frisky disappears. With Cindy Blake, whose mother works for a local kennel man who has a best-of-show possibility in Prince, he goes to Denver where there is an attempt to dognap Prince, substitute Frisky, and sedate the children who do not Stop... Stay... Stand... still for a single minute. Eileen Thompson's earlier contenders, The Blue-Stone Mystery, The Spanish Deed Mystery, The Apache Gold Mystery will place the book-- it's optional, dispensable.
