by Elaine Macmann ‧ RELEASE DATE: April 2, 1956
Humor for the fourth grade crowd on the order of Hazel Wilson's Rerbest stories (though not quite as funny), this yarn recounts the troubles of Terry when he elects to earn money for a bike by raising turkeys. Thanksgiving is, of course, his goal, particularly as it is Otto's bike he wants to buy and Otto in leaving it behind when he moves to California then. What with turkey temperament, problems of feeding times, and so on, Terry has tough going but reaches his goal.
