by Eleanor Frances Lattimore ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 12, 1956
More episodes about the solemn little Chinese boy who made his first appearance 25 years ago in Little Pear (published by Harcourt, Brace) take him through another season in his village. As before, in her many other stories both of China and America for the young, Mrs. Lattimore's writing is disarmingly direct and it is with a gentle smile that we read of market day, of a walk in winter, and of good luck rabbits. Her drawings are captivatingly neat. Firmly bound.
