by Elizabeth Fenwick ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 17, 1968
Aunt Elva has a lifetime tenancy in her deceased husband's house, and the couple who batten on her, a mother and son, and presumably attend her, are determined to see that she keeps it, alive or dead. When she is almost dead, they substitute another little old lady in her stead whom they forcibly retain with drugs and without her dentures. . . . The kind of quiet victimization, in old house slippers, which Miss Fenwick manages so well: not her best, but her next best is better than most.
