CHILDREN OF HOPE

Her curiosity aroused, a young girl walked into New York's Founding Hospital and unwittingly met her life's work. The author recounts her early days as a volunteer on the staff with children on her ward, most of them with typical tragedies behind . Taking her degree in child psychology, lecturing to student teachers and administering love and therapy to the children, she stayed at the hospital until Chief Doctor Vignac asked her to be his secretary in private practice. This is straight personal history from another era. Young girls today, who are not often so apt to walk into their futures quite this way, will respond to her inspiring autobiography.
