by Emily Barto ‧ RELEASE DATE: Aug. 28, 1940
This seems to me entirely adult in conception and execution. There is a preface of definite historic interest, concerned with the political background of the lampoon which has come down to us as a nursery rhyme from Charles First's day. The pictures are effective, but not childlike in appeal, and the break of the rhyme and the introduction of repetition takes it out of the childhood sphere.
