THE MOUNTAIN OF ADVENTURE

This will sell, because Enid Blyton's adventure stories have won a following, but this is the worst she has done, -- a confused, garbled story, built around the same group of English children met in Valley of Adventure, etc. This qualifies as science fiction, I suppose, but it is a far-fetched adventure tale of the comic genre. The children are visiting in the Welsh mountains and get involved with a mad scientist experimenting with a ray intended to create human wings. He is about to use one of the boys as a victim, when a helicopter comes to the rescue of the children and their ever-present menagerie. Somehow doesn't even qualify as good mystery.
