JUDGMENT ON DELTCHEV

A return engagement, after ten years, and again a sombre to sinister incident of intrigue when Foster, an Englishman, is sent to a Balkan city to cover a treason trial he knows he can't report, that of Deltchev, a patriot. The indignation the trial fires, as it is conducted under close Communist control, and the doubt it throws on Deltchev, impels Foster to a private search which leads to from the condemned man's family to a vortex of violence. A subtle shadowboxing with power and corruption, this adds a political substance and sophistication to the expected excitement-entertainment values.
