Can you imagine Emily saying ""SUCK IN THAT HORRIBLE GUT"" or Amy recommending that she ""tote her own junk"" let alone thinking in terms of establishing a ""worthwhile necking program."" But then, this is not for their charge's but for any young man who wants to know how to dress (apparently they still wear socks), how to conduct (interesting) conversation, how to proceed from dating right through the nuptials and quite possibly a divorce, how to entertain or be entertained, travel, etc. etc. Almost half of the book deals with succeeding in business with final chapters re good sportsmanship on every playing field imaginable. And while the tone is casual, the advice is quite explicit (tipping, for example, in all situations). Obligatory essentials and refinements for that man-of-the-world-man-about-town.
