ROCKING HILL ROAD

The Bixby boys, eleven and twelve year-olds, move from California to New England with an ease habituated by a childhood spent as the sons of a Navy Commander. Their new home on Rocking Hill Road is somewhat more lively than they anticipate when it becomes evident that no household here is complete without its own horse. Very soon the Bixbys rent themselves Sailor, an animal of noteworthy ingenuity and humor. Sailor's implication in a somewhat dubious business enterprise involves the two boys in a career of sleuthing which ultimately makes them full time owners of the lively horse. A humorous story which bases its appeal on the zany antics of a whimsical animal and his two masters.
