A misleading title for an excellent story of Norwegian farm life. A sea captain's young daughter yearns for life on a farm; and a farmer's young son looks longingly on the life of the sea farer. It takes the full span of the story to bring him his wish, and in the process, the reader gets a good background of Norwegian life and festivals and the seasonal round.
