by Evangeline Walton ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
This is the fictionization of certain myths and legends taken from the last book The , the ancient epic of Wales. Paint? reminiscent of the Authorian cycles, it is a narrative of chivalric adventure, wizardry, enchantments, more supernatural than natural. The legends in themselves will appeal to anyone fascinated by charms and black magic, though they are more than that, with a bit of philosophy, everyday wisdom, social conduct, etc. interspersed. Stylistically one feels that the prose, though adequate, is never as poetic as the substance would seem to demand. It is a book to know about -- if inquiries come -- but not to buy.
