BIG FLIGHT

A good adventure yarn with an old pattern in a new setting. The hero is pinch-hitting for one of the mechanics in a landing field on the trans-continental route, and aspiring to be a licensed pilot and to make his mark in the field of invention. Fate gives him a break, he becomes a pilot and gets his chance to try out his invention -- and fails. Gets another chance, and then hands the trump cards to the man who has hated him throughout. The plot -- as you will see -- is not particularly original, but none the loss, it is good reading, and the aviation side of the picture rings true and appeals to modern demands. With few good flying stories in the market, this should have a more than average chance, particularly for renting.
