NEW GIRL IN TOWN

Ah, Little Oxford, Connecticut -- where snowflakes twinkle on schedule, the New Year ""frolics in"" and where the new girl, Maggie, lives alone in her aunt's lovely house with no thought of chain locks or guard dogs. Maggie is attracted to handsome married Alan -- lawyer Matt is just a chum -- until she comes around, reconciles Alan and his wife, and Matt proposes. Miss Baldwin apologizes for not writing ""up-to-the-hour""; she shouldn't -- her behind-the-times readership is as constant as those spires of Little Oxford.
