TILLY'S HOUSE

Dollhouse kitchenmaid escapes, makes a snug home of her own in greenhouse. Apart from some immaterial pooh-poohing of the places teddybear Edward suggests before he remembers the empty greenhouse, that's all there is to Tilly's story; but the illustrations--if innocuous as art--do show her going about her diminutive business with outsize determination. And seeing how she turns discarded oddments into tiny home furnishings will undoubtedly please youngsters for whom small things--and people--are ipso facto precious.
