DOUBLE IN SPACE

Two slight excursions into the future by a polished practitioner. The first takes up Russo-American rivalry in two contending man-made satellites, but proves nothing more than that love can cross a diplomatic no-man's land. The second goes further into the future, recounts a galactic Odyssey that misses none of the perils of the original but brings the voyager as safely home at last as in the Homer epic. Slight but not silly.
