This extensive account of the ""permanent Mexican revolution"" initiated in 1910 is well written and well titled. Modern Mexico is still in the process of being made and according to the author's well-researched and well documented evidence, it will take a great deal more in effort to eliminate the important shortcomings that remain in the area of education, social welfare and political equity. The sections on the current economy are particularly good and there is a fine bibliography.
