THE NEW YORK GIANTS

Though Graham takes us back to the Giants in the '80's, he makes even that era as lively and modern as last year's miracle team, when they deserved their reputation of being fighters as never before, when Durocher drove them through to the National League championship. Giant fans will revel in reading again of the great Matty, of John (Mugsie) McGraw, that fightingest manager of all time, of Bill Terry, Hubbell, Mel Ott, Frankie Frish, of great teams, great players, World series, politics and personalities. Even Dodger fans will read this with gusto. Tops in a good series. Frank Graham makes baseball live.
