THE LITTLE DOC

An engaging, homespun, ""pop"" biography of Dr. Dafoe, the quin's doctor. A good repertorial job, and the most detailed account of the doctor's youth, handicapped by shyness, a sense of inferiority, dominated by his father, his education, and his years of backwoods practice, that has appeared. Service and duty, with meagre tools, and often only common sense to pull him through. Worn out at 51, he was faced with the Dionnes -- and a new life began. Finally, when all was well, the struggle with the parents came to a head. Slight, but a good chance for popular sale.
