by Fred Gwynne ‧ RELEASE DATE: Nov. 30, 1970
A little girl's (re)vision of homely homonyms -- ""Daddy says he has a mole on his nose"" -- and other disfigures of speech -- ""Sometimes Mommy says she has a frog in her throat."" Literally enlarged upon, they are also enlarged literally to the point of coarseness in the illustrations and beyond the dimensions that the modest material warrants. Just a matter of taste(lessness). Or bald humor.
