Kiki was a toothsome little cocotte of the '20's who was the mistress and model of a great many artists and writers. Among the latter, the author scarcely rates. Hemingway mentioned her briefly but Mr. Kohner, the ""salt flood of age rising,"" has calcified his memories of her when he was a callow nineteen....singing at the Jockey Club...opening up a bordello...and ooh la la, seducing him (""for one moment I felt a virginal shrinking"").... A floral tribute to Kiki, to Paris, for the type of tourist who goes to the Folles Baregeres. We were not enchantes.
