BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY: Abridged Edition

In 1957 Dr. G. Ernest Wright, who teaches at the Harvard Divinity School, wrote a lavishly illustrated book on Biblical Archaeology which immediately became indispensable to serious students of biblical faith. Much of the background to biblical material can only be recovered with the aid of archaeology, especially the investigation of the last 100 years which fills in so much detail of the story of civilization of the ancient and near East. This paper-back reprint is a condensation of this study, without illustrations, but it does serve the valuable purpose of making this fascinating story available to a larger number of students.
