by Gall E. - Illus. Haley ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 18, 1964
This book is stuffed with counting rhymes drawn from Mother Goose, famous rigmaroles and ballads. For those who must practise counting and who need strong visual support for a concept of what a number stands for, the illustrations back up the rhymes -- even unto four and twenty blackbirds. There are so many included that it becomes quite wearying. However, for very young children using this under active parent direction, the book is a good looking, entertaining exercise in small numbers.
