Companion piece to the beguiling Baby Animals of two years back- and done with the same charm and freshness, the same tricks of humor and imagination. That the competition is keen is obvious:- rabbits, guinea pigs, a donkey, ducklings, chickens, a lamb (I'm so glad he made it a black one!) piglets, a calf, and so on, including the house animals like kittens and puppies. Yes, they've been done, but this- in its field -- is tops. And the comfortable size and sturdy heavy cardboard pages mean it will take a lot of handling which it is sure to get.
