THE EYES AROUND ME

The long arm of almost clueless coincidence is still aiding the strong arm of Paul Harris, last seen in A Dragon for Christmas. A successful business man on the nether fringe of respectability, Harris vacations in Hong Kong as the guest of Ella Bain, a rich Scotswoman notably tight with money and loose with men. When Ella turns up dead in bed, her murder points to Harris who spins into violent action which reveals Ella's unknown involvement in the illegal importation of refugees from Red China...red herrings this time because, although amusingly written, it turns out to be the old cherches l'homme gone Asiatic.
