OVERCOAT MEETING

A fairly glib story of a girl, a boy and a horse which is distinctive in its lore of trotting races and the background of southern New Jersey and its country life. Jeddo and Mit's families are at odds over a past race, and Mit and Jeddo's friendship has its ups and downs during the feud until Jeddo is possessed by the idea of entering the racing game for big money. His partnership with Mit, his education at the tracks, all lead to the big win at the Overcoat Meeting where he plots a clever race for their horse. A timepasser for the fans of the sport.
