The text discusses the value of training to management and employees and summarizes current trends in procedure, with detailed analysis of training methods such as lecture, conference method, panel discussion, visual aids, role-playing, and well-chosen examples of each method which could easily be adapted to the trainer's own situation. The emphasis throughout is on the practical approach to training, stressing the importance of planning training to meet the specific needs of the job and of the individual. An appendix reviews a number of reference books.
