THE RING OF TRUTH

Paul Standish, M.D., who is also M.E. for the city of New York, has cause to re-examine a year old death classified as vehicular homicide at the time. But two further casualties now prompt him to wonder who stood to gain -- most -- from a wealthy stockbroker's death, his widow, his partner, or his brother. The end is unexpected, more so than the familiarity of the technique or the availability of the audience.
