by George Harmon Coxe ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 13, 1965
Mr. Coxe is now well into his late fifties (books that is). This latest mystery focuses on Arnold Stanton, retired criminal lawyer, suffering from a terminal illness and the results of his own little larky larceny... a bribe here... some income tax evasion there. The ""results"" are two hundred thousand dollars in small fifties secured in a suitcase that everyone is trying to snatch. Murdock, the friendly photographer, officiates once again in what is now a standardized performance.
