Some of the explanations are earthy, some subtle, some immediately intelligible and some more difficult. But they all make sense which, in a book of this kind, is a rare virtue. This will be an excellent handbook for students of the Bible both professional and lay, and an invaluable aid to the clergy in their quest for homiletic material.
