A DIARY OF MY TIMES

A condensed version from the French Les. Grands. Cimetieres. Sous. La Lune which gives the author's report of his stay on Majorca from the breaking out of the Spanish Civil War until 1937, entirely interspersed with vehement criticism of the attitude of the Church in those years. A devout Roman Catholic and a Royalist, with no love for non-Christians, he is more than indignant over the events he witnessed and the rapid growth of terror. There seems lack of direction to the invective, however, resulting from the omission of references to French politics. Timely enough, with moments of impressive denunciation, but not a diary in the usual sense. A controversial item for the Catholic market.
