THE TALISMAN RING

A mystery writer turns to late 18th century England to trace the disappearance of a family ring and sets in motion a gay, mad series of events pleasantly complicated by a delightful set of characters. Nothing of a mystery -- but a high spot in light, humorous entertainment, with drily amusing dialogue. I loved it.
