STILLMEADOW CALENDAR

A re-run of Stillmeadow Road, or Daybook, et al, this is another one of Gladys Taber's fireside chats about her continuing life in the pre-Colonial house she shared with Jill (who has died) and it rounds the year in terms of shrubs and flowers (pussy willows and lilacs) and weather and meals (with occasional recipes tucked in) and the books she reads and remembers and the family and friends who came to stay with her. One of them, is Faith Baldwin who writes almanacs which are very comparable to this one, thoroughly domesticated for that readership which likes her teacosy philosophy--""one good or lovely thing in every single day."" They'll find it here.
