An impressive looking book with very taking illustrations in line by John F. DeGuir. A pet shop which had some delightful residents, including Snick, the monkey, who could open latches. It led to confusion which troubled the rigid lady who owned the shop, but resulted in gay times for children and animals and eventually even for the proprietress. One special small boy named Tandy had more than a little to do with it. Original format, a good looking book.
