The author of FOOTLOOSE IN INDIA continues his wanderings, this time following the equator around in a search for man-eaters. In the course of his travels he encounters other globe trotters, including Frank Buck. The book is good entertainment -- escape reading -- adventures blended with a goodly assortment of miscellaneous information, enlivened by the journalese eye. There's a blend of such oddly assorted matters as New Guinos and the Papuan cannibals and the fantastic gold fields, Borneo, crocodile hunting, elephants, snakes, sultans, major and minor poentates, Malaya, tiger hunting, Slam, chelera, snake poison serum, Bangkok, white elephants, Burma, Mandalay, Kyber Pass, Madras. Baluchistan, and so on and so on.
